Shells, smoke. And gunfire that filled the entire world.
When I woke up... what unfolded before my eyes was an unfamiliar world.
I need to quickly find out the truth
and restore my tangled memories!
<Lost Soldier> is content where you navigate through the War Memorial of Korea
with the <Soldier's Notebook> kit and the Realworld app,
performing missions like the protagonist in the story.
Though it's been less than a week since opening,
hundreds of visitors have already
left touching reviews after their experience.
I'd like to share the behind-the-scenes story
of creating <Lost Soldier>,
which offers a unique way to experience patriotism.
Experience content at the War Memorial?
What kind of space is a 'memorial hall'?
While it delivers useful information we absolutely need to know,
it unfortunately lacks dynamism.
However, when we began creating content at the War Memorial,
the artifacts, relics, and veterans' belongings trapped behind glass walls
felt like 'special objects holding memories.'
Even the still statues seemed to
hold special memories.
That's how the concept was born:
recovering lost memories one by one
from exhibition walls, maps, and objects.
The emotion we wanted to convey through the place
Realworld content is very unique.
It's not a movie... it's distinctive content where you
walk around a place directly and become
the protagonist of the story through an app.
That's why I often get inspired by
'the feeling a place gives' and
'the meaning of the place'
when planning.
I'd like to introduce you to the place
that left the deepest impression on me at the War Memorial.
It's a place you'll naturally walk through
while experiencing the game.
Walking down this path filled with the names of fallen soldiers,
I found myself getting teary-eyed without realizing it.
My heart ached thinking about the sacrifice of so many people
who filled these many walls and more.
There's also the 'clock,' an important object in our content,
and a clock statue related to the ending.
Looking at the clock stopped at 4 o'clock when the war broke out,
I was heartbroken thinking about the time of the veterans who sacrificed their lives,
and it greatly influenced the plot development of <Lost Soldier>.
I've incorporated all the emotions I felt at the War Memorial
into the story and route so that those who experience it
can feel the same emotions :D
If you play <Lost Soldier>,
you'll be able to feel deep emotions from the place.
Great stories of ordinary people
The protagonist in <Lost Soldier>
isn't a famous hero,
but ordinary soldiers who showed great courage.
I thought that if people could empathize with
the emotions experienced from an ordinary person's perspective,
they could better understand
the value of the veterans' sacrifice.
To make others immerse themselves in these emotions,
I thought I needed to empathize first.
So I eagerly sought out and read
records of how soldiers at that time
fought in war, shared friendships,
and experienced human emotions.
I started reading for research purposes,
but before I knew it, I found myself
immersed in the emotions of the veterans.
I also carefully verified the combat experiences
of soldiers from that era to ensure
there were no issues with historical accuracy.
There are so many stories of unknown lost soldiers
in the archive library on the 2nd floor.

To provide the immersive experience of truly becoming a movie protagonist,
we've inserted carefully selected BGM for each section +
gunfire, tank sounds, and other sound effects
crafted by combining each sound one by one.
