Hello, today we would like to introduce an innovative reverse-thinking campaign for school violence prevention using Realworld, a playable content platform.
School violence is not a new issue, and since its impact affects society as a whole, all members of society including educational institutions, parents, students, government, private organizations, and media are working together in solidarity.
While it's important to take any action, we all know very well that simply shouting slogans and promoting awareness cannot bring about the changes we expect.
It's like when we visit museums or exhibitions, we don't try to read the in-depth explanations in front of the artworks. In other words, simply listening to lectures, reading books, and watching audiovisual materials (passive teaching methods) cannot induce actual behavioral changes.
The reason people turn away from various social issues is because they don't see them as 'their own story.' We need a special 'active experience' where those involved can directly step into the story situation, become immersed, and empathize.
However, many people take a different attitude toward 'games.'
But why do people enjoy playing games all day long and willingly invite friends to share experiences together in those situations? Why is that?
Games prioritize your situation and judgment, and the key is that the story unfolds differently based on your actions. In other words, they make you the protagonist. At the same time, games have an experiential structure where satisfaction can be multiplied when enjoyed with others.
The same applies to school violence issues. We need to make people experience it as if it were their own story. It should be as fun as a game! We focused on this point and prepared an innovative campaign like never before.
Ministry of Education x Green Tree Foundation x Realworld unite!
Therefore, the Ministry of Education, Green Tree Foundation, and Realworld joined forces. You probably already know the Green Tree Foundation (Youth Violence Prevention Foundation), right? The foundation is a youth NGO (non-profit public interest corporation) that has been granted special consultative status by the UN Economic and Social Council. School teachers and students especially don't need explanation since they operate mandatory school violence prevention education programs. Particularly, many of you may have encountered Chairman Kim Jong-ki when he appeared on You Quiz.
The Ministry of Education, Green Tree Foundation, and Realworld have prepared a special campaign that innovates existing school violence prevention campaigns by creating 'playable content' that allows stakeholders in school violence to directly experience school violence issues with game-like immersion.
As part of this initiative, we held the 'Experiential Mobile Content Contest for School Violence Prevention.' Participants created playable content using the no-code content creation tool 'Realworld Studio.'
Realworld Studio is an innovative authoring tool that allows you to create exciting interactive stories like using PowerPoint without any coding knowledge, and incorporate various immersive technologies such as interactive stories, augmented reality (AR), web view, and photo frames at a drag-and-drop level.
With Realworld Studio, it's okay if you don't know a single line of coding, can't draw well, or don't know about technology. You can easily create content with just clicks!
Thanks to this, we were able to help participants overcome technical limitations and recruit contest participants based solely on their planning skills and genuine commitment to school violence prevention. The contest was divided into general and youth categories, selected finalists through carefully screened results, and improved content quality through education and feedback.
We were amazed that middle and high school student teams from across the nation applied, and various clubs and organizations also passionately created content.

The contest entries were structured to allow experiencing the story in various ways, such as from a bystander's perspective and through two-person cooperative methods, regarding school violence issues, and were evaluated as achieving a high-level and progressive approach that allows people to feel the seriousness of the situation.
Playthrough video of 'Fulfilling the Rooftop Ghost's Wish' - Minister of Education Award winner
Clicking the link above allows you to immediately play the story as shown in the video below.
'Fulfilling the Rooftop Ghost's Wish' puts you in the protagonist's perspective as you carefully follow mysterious incidents occurring at school and encounter the 'rooftop ghost' that was the subject of rumors. We highly recommend you play it too.
With good stories and planning alone, you can easily create such playable content without any coding knowledge.
Experience leads to communication
Playing content means already participating as the protagonist in the story. Therefore, not only those directly involved in school violence but also stakeholders experience immersion from a different perspective. This can be seen in the reviews left by participants.
"I wanted to be okay all along. Life was exhausting and there was nowhere to put my heart, and the desire to be okay made me look toward more difficult things. But the more I looked that way, instead of getting better, it hurt more and more. Gradually, I didn't want to do anything and wanted to let everything go and leave. The voices I heard in my heart saying 'How long will you live like that, you should do better at such a young age, why do you live like that and always cause trouble for others' - I had momentarily forgotten that the source of those voices was me. In fact, I had desperately wanted to be happy, and my unconscious mind wanted that more than anyone..."

The highest level of education occurs when one creates and teaches others themselves
National Training Laboratory
Existing approaches to school violence and various social issues have been one-directional. They approached from a 'beneficiary' perspective, presenting information and making them learn.
However, from the perspective of 'Learning Pyramid Theory,' the highest level of education is when those we thought were education beneficiaries 'create their own learning and teach others.'
Having stakeholders related to 'core topics' create playable content based on their experiences and furthermore invite others to experience it is an innovative approach that has never been attempted before.
This collaboration between the Ministry of Education x Green Tree Foundation and Realworld is probably almost the only case of its kind.
Therefore, this collaboration is being evaluated as establishing itself as an innovation in the education field. Do you agree?
The award-winning works from this Ministry of Education x Green Tree Foundation mobile content contest will be distributed for free play through schools nationwide. Those interested in school violence prevention should definitely adopt and utilize them.
Additionally, if you want to operate a process of directly creating and playing playable content with students, please contact Realworld! You will definitely experience 'change'!
