There's a saying that 'one experience is worth a hundred explanations'~ We were grateful that yesterday, the executives from The Wells Investment all came to visit our Mystery Office. The Wells is known for operating one of Korea's largest investment funds and is famous for conducting investments that consider not only the financial value of companies but also the ripple effect of their social value as an important axis. In our interconnected society, the realm of solving social problems has now become a tremendous opportunity for business growth, and since corporate growth creates positive impacts on society, it creates a virtuous cycle where society drives the company's progress forward, earning recognition as a good model. UniqueGood Company is an impact company with a mission to solve new problems the world faces with unique and good solutions, developing and growing products in the areas of experience, communication, and knowledge, so The Wells Investment's interest was something we had hoped for.
The Wells visited today to directly experience Realworld, which presents new standards for leisure and lifestyle. Not only that, but they were also interested in the UniqueGood Company teams creating these unique good solutions. On one hand, I was a bit worried. Since The Wells executives are society's elders with higher age ranges, I was concerned they might find Realworld difficult and lose interest. But following the minister's visit last time, I quickly realized this was the same unfounded worry.
First of all, UniqueGood Company's office is such a unique and beautiful space that from the moment they entered the office, they opened their hearts wide, and especially in the Mystery Office where gaming space is prepared, they immediately transformed into game mode! Competition started right away with two teams! Since it's a format that requires using smartphones together, I wondered how they would handle it... but they enjoyed it tremendously like children, and even suggested playing other games with great enthusiasm, confirming that when it comes to fun, age doesn't matter.
The sight of them being immersed looks truly wonderful to anyone watching, right? In fact, the executives were initially concerned, wondering 'Will we be able to do this well?' but soon they were brimming with confidence, suggesting we play other games too, and seeing the child within them made it really enjoyable for us as well (but this game had the lowest difficulty level lol).
What we thought would be about an hour-long visit ended up extending to meals and then to a coffee shop, lasting nearly 4 hours as they generously shared their deep interest, expectations, and interesting advice. Especially since they are such important elders and prominent figures in society, when we mentioned things we really wanted to connect with but wondered 'Is this feasible?', they immediately opened bridges for us, making us feel like we had gained a thousand allies.
Like the saying 'it takes a village to raise a child', we know well that the growth of a small startup comes from many people pushing and leading us forward, so we are grateful to all those who visit us with interest and sincerely want to help us grow, and we pledge to grow diligently with humility. At the same time, we will keep our antennas up and approach opportunities so our solutions can expand into many areas we hadn't even thought of, building connections with more diverse fields to develop them into more impactful tools.
