Korea Arts Council ESG Problem-Solving Workshop, Find the Realworld Boss

Hello,
Today I'd like to introduce you to Realworld's <Find the Boss>, an ESG problem-solving workshop where you can directly experience ESG management, which has been a hot topic recently.

ESG management...
The concept itself is difficult,
so how can we conduct employee training
on the theme of ESG management?

How are you currently
running ESG management-related
education programs?

Most likely, you're conducting them
through passive educational methods centered on concepts, theories, and case studies.
As a result,
even though it's obviously a necessary and important concept,
it often ends up being perceived as boring education on a topic that seems irrelevant and uninteresting to individuals.

So today, I want to introduce the experiential education content
Realworld <Find the Boss> that was conducted at the Korea Arts Council.

Realworld <Find the Boss>, an experiential education program held in Naju,
was conducted as part of the ESG management problem-solving workshop
during ARKO ESG Week.

In this program attended by about 30 employees,
two people form a team -
you and the person next to you.
Your mission with your partner is
to figure out the appearance of the boss of a global IT organization.

You gather information about the boss's appearance
from people around them in posters
attached throughout the lecture hall.

Since you can only get clues
by diligently solving missions,
you and your partner become inseparable teammates
working hard to solve problems together.

Their focused backs... even in photos, you can feel their overflowing concentration.

The biggest advantage of participatory education
is this 'tremendous immersion'
that is maintained throughout
the entire educational process.

Using cutting-edge smart immersive technology
and various missions, trainees use smartphones
and play kits to collect clues
and draw a montage of the global IT organization's boss.

Can you see it?
The passion of trainees who even connect
portable batteries to solve missions!

They diligently solve clues in posters
attached throughout the lecture hall,
collecting clues one by one!

Rather than sitting quietly
listening to the instructor's lecture,
they become the protagonists of education,
having to find clues,
utilizing the entire lecture hall,
sometimes even running to solve problems.

Now, the drawing finally completed after diligently collecting clues!

After the montage presentation,
a full-scale wrap-up lecture follows.

Diversity and inclusion education -
ESG management starts with
realizing the unconscious bias
that exists within me, which I didn't even know about.

Unconscious bias truly exists
without my awareness,
so unless I realize it myself through various experiences,
I can never know if that bias exists within me.

Because I don't know,
I cannot escape bias and have a fair perspective.
That's why experiential education like this
seems to be gaining more and more attention.

The highlight of the <Find the Boss> education
might be the various cases introduced during the wrap-up lecture
after the simple experience of becoming aware of bias I didn't even know I had.

It introduces various types of bias and prejudice
such as gender, race, and disability
along with global cases,

and together we examine and deeply empathize with
why having a fair perspective is important,
why we need to internalize diversity and inclusion
as part of ESG management.

Today we looked at
Realworld <Find the Boss>,
an experiential education program
with the theme of ESG management -
a topic that is important but
somewhat difficult and distant,
yet still extremely important.
