Hello, this is Realworld. The 'Wait, This Actually Works?' series continues with our catchphrase 'Bringing all the fun in the world to you!' Today we're back with the fifth episode on the topic 'A Japanese Murder Mystery Masterpiece Has Landed in Korea?!'
A new face has appeared alongside UniqueGood's adorable MC Yu-hyun - Choi Su-min, a planner from the New Business Planning & Development Team, who will discuss today's topic with us. Aren't you curious about this fun and informative trend news? Then stay tuned to our channel!
Choi Su-min, UniqueGood's self-proclaimed 'otaku' planner, recently became obsessed with content - specifically the Japanese murder mystery masterpiece 'Ada'. Murder mystery can be described as a role-playing deduction game where multiple players each take on roles to solve specific cases. Unlike traditional games that focus on finding the hidden culprit among players, murder mystery focuses more on completing the story's ending.
Japan's Popular Murder Mystery 'Ada'
How popular is Ada in Japan? It has received high ratings with a 4.5 score on 'Murder Miss', Japan's largest murder mystery information site. It's even had dramatic readings (theater performed by actors reading scripts) and exclusive fan events (events where fan-created works are presented and sold). Its popularity was so great that it recorded 8,000 retweets on X (Twitter), showing tremendous response. Ada is expanding beyond the murder mystery genre into various other areas.
Behind the Story of the Ada Contract
Realworld opened 'Realworld Clue', Korea's first murder mystery cafe, last February. While organizing content needed for this space, they were looking for works by external creators. As it happened, planner Choi Su-min wanted to launch 'Ada', which she had enjoyed playing, in Korea, so she reached out first.
Despite not majoring in Japanese, planner Choi Su-min communicated directly with Japanese planners to secure the contract. When asked how it felt to become a 'successful otaku', she replied that 'the quality of my work improved significantly'. Like someone who had anticipated this would happen, she finished preparing the project in no time.
During the interview, there was something planner Choi Su-min emphasized - she expressed hope for collaborations with the webtoon 'Garbage Time' and the professional gaming team 'T1', which she's a fan of. We ask the relevant parties to please get in touch.
Soon to be Revealed at Realworld Clue Seongsu
The 'Ada' being prepared this way will soon be available at Realworld Clue Seongsu. It's scheduled to open as early as late April or early May at the latest, so we'll return with good news soon. You can look forward to directly playing five attractive characters including humans, beastfolk, seafolk, dragonfolk, and fairy folk. Other murder mystery content is also available, so please show lots of interest and love.
Realworld's 'Wait, This Actually Works?' will return with even more fun and informative topics!
Thank you.
