A new type of performance where the audience becomes the protagonist of the story is coming.

UniqueGood Company, the operator of 'playable content platform' Realworld, announced on the 28th that they have completed casting for the immersive theater production <Hotel Pygmalion>.

Immersive theater refers to performances that eliminate boundaries between audience and stage, allowing viewers to complete the story through interactions with actors. Immersive theaters like 'Sleep No More' in New York and 'Immersive Fort Tokyo' in Tokyo have established themselves as global performance trends, and are gradually increasing in Korea as well.

The casting call for <Hotel Pygmalion> received tremendous interest, with over 6,000 views. Through fierce competition, six actors were cast including Lee Dong-yoon, Jeon Ju-il, Oh Ja-song, Kim Song-hyun, Jo Tae-young, and Lee Ki-chun, with rehearsals scheduled to begin in September.

<Hotel Pygmalion> is a mystery sci-fi genre set in the near future of 2044, depicting events that unfold at the opening ceremony of the eponymous Hotel 'Pygmalion'. Audiences must solve the mission of finding androids that have escaped system control, and can approach the truth of the incident through interactions with actors.

Selected for the 2024 Arts Startup Support Program by the Korea Arts Management Service under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, <Hotel Pygmalion> will run from October 2 to 31, 2024 at Realworld Seongsu located in Seongsu-dong, Seongdong-gu, Seoul.

Meanwhile, UniqueGood Company has previously planned audience-participatory content including 'Montage Sequence' in 2019 and 'Lucky's Nightmare' in 2023, receiving positive responses.
