Seongsu is full of really hot and amazing pop-up stores
that keep appearing and disappearing,
so I'd like to introduce you to some memorable pop-up stores!
First up is the Seongsu Oreo pop-up!
The Oreo pop-up is just a 3-minute walk
from Seongsu Station!
It was located in a perfect spot for those traveling on foot.
You could make a reservation with your phone number at the entrance
and take photos at the photo zone
set up right next to it!
I heard weekdays weren't too crowded,
but when I waited on the weekend, it took about 2 hours..
The wait was long, cars frequently passed by,
and there wasn't really anywhere decent to wait..
So we went to Realworld Seongsu nearby
to grab some drinks!
It's less than a 1-minute walk to the Seongsu Oreo pop-up,
so when you get the notification on your phone to enter,
you can just run right over!
While we were relaxing with our drinks,
we heard that Realworld Seongsu had escape room games,
so we gave it a try!
Since we came all the way to Seongsu-dong,
we played the highest quality game that comes with a kit
and even gives you a cute detective badge -

I can't say too much since it would be a spoiler,
but the storyline connects with other games in the Realworld app,
and I loved the concept of becoming a detective to catch a phantom thief!
I wanted to solve it without hints..
but I spent 10 minutes on just the first puzzle
and ended up using hints after all
I heard there are various other games at Realworld Seongsu,
so next time I definitely want to try <Unlocky!>!
After enjoying all these activities,
it was really worth the effort of coming all the way to Seongsu-dong!
While we were enjoying Realworld Seongsu,
our turn came up for the Seongsu Oreo pop-up, so we went in!
They gave us an Oreo cookie at the beginning
and explained how to enjoy the Seongsu Oreo pop-up!
The first thing you see when entering
the Seongsu Oreo pop-up is
a photo zone with a giant Oreo cookie cake
and a photo zone filled with Oreos and balloons!
You could even climb on top of the cake,
so it was great for taking amazing photos!
There were also tons of mini-games,
and you had to play these mini-games to collect stamps
to complete the event!
And inside the Seongsu Oreo pop-up!
There was a kiddie ball pit
like the ones from kindergarten back in the day!
Lots of people were going in there
busily trying to get the perfect shot
It felt like returning to childhood
and was really memorable.
I've experienced various pop-up stores in Seongsu-dong,
and among them, the Seongsu Oreo pop-up
was the most impressive
because it had the most activities
Now that we'd rested a bit, we moved on to our next destination -
the Leica House pop-up store!
Just like the Seongsu Oreo pop-up,
we made a reservation at the entrance before going in!
The Leica House pop-up store wasn't as crowded
as I expected, so we got in quickly!
Once inside, we could see explanations about the Leica brand
and cameras that apparently only exist
in limited numbers worldwide!
Following along with the explanations,
we came to a giant camera!
Everyone was taking photos here enthusiastically
and posting on Instagram
to participate in the event!
Up until now I was thinking,
how is this different from other Seongsu pop-up stores?..
But when you go inside this giant camera,
there's a super colorful space
that makes you feel like you're really inside a camera!
It hurts your eyes if you look too long,
but you can get lots of beautiful photos!
1. Follow on Instagram
2. Take photos with the camera model and upload an Instagram post
3. Upload photos with the lettering model to your story
and you've completed the event!
Once you collect all the stamps, you can get
a drink or a canned beer here,
and the beer was surprisingly tasty!
For those visiting Seongsu for the first time and wondering where to go,
I recommend the route: Seongsu Oreo pop-up -> Realworld Seongsu -> Leica pop-up store!
Especially Realworld Seongsu won't disappear quickly like pop-up stores
and will continue bringing joy to various people in Seongsu,
so I highly recommend visiting!
