<The Nameless Mermaid Story> has a frame narrative structure
that allows you to directly experience the Jeju April 3rd Incident
through a fairy tale-like storyline.
Right here in Jeju's Bukchon village,
where the most casualties occurred during the actual April 3rd Incident,
a place more beautiful than anywhere else but holding a sad history.
In <The Nameless Mermaid Story>, I, as the player, become a new PD following an informant's story.
It's a story about searching for a mermaid,
a mythical being said to live in the waters of Bukchon, Jeju Island.
Participants are invariably surprised
that there was such a story in this place, Bukchon, which isn't a tourist destination,
and they're left with deep, meaningful impressions from experiencing history so meaningfully.
<The Nameless Mermaid Story>, created with Jeju's Bukchon as its backdrop,
is being experienced not only by families visiting Jeju
who want a meaningful experience,
but also by adults participating in company workshops, forums, and seminars,
and by middle and high school students, the future generation of Jeju.
Historical facts that seem unrelated to us
and are gradually being forgotten
become meaningful time for remembering and reflecting
through the active participatory experience
of directly playing as the protagonist in that story,
leaving even deeper impressions.
Students experience it in groups wearing their school uniforms,
and office workers and corporate employees from across the country visiting Jeju
are also busy playing the content
that takes place on-site in Jeju's Bukchon village for about an hour.
It's even more convenient and easy to proceed
since it can be conducted without separate guides or supervisors.
Whether it's sunny weather
or cold weather in Jeju's winter,
