I'm Marketer Yoo, who started working in the Experience Marketing team at UniqueGood Company in June :)
Today, I'd like to write a post about my onboarding experience at UniqueGood Company, where I joined as an intern!
How I ended up becoming an intern
The 1st Real Crime Contest held last December!
It was a contest themed around 'Crime Scene Theme Games,' one of Realworld's signature content.
I was able to create it quite easily using 'Realworld Studio,' the authoring tool for creating Realworld games!
I participated in this contest and won 2nd place, which gave me the opportunity to intern!
Haha yes, that's right. The trending "Idol Audition Crime Scene"
That's the game I designed, hehe..
'Idol Audition Crime Scene' is literally a crime scene theme game set in an idol audition survival program!
It's a 5-player game, and you can play it for free just by watching ads!

Winning 2nd place was great, but I was really happy that I could even do an internship!

Pre-employment procedures
After the contest ended, the HR team sent me an employment guidance email!
Before officially starting, I visited the company and had meetings with the team leaders.
There was no pressure interview at all, and it was conducted in a very comfortable atmosphere haha.
First day at work
Ta-da, finally the first day at work!
Heart pounding.. I can't believe I'm commuting to Realworld Seongsu!
The moment I opened the orange door and walked in, I felt like Harry Potter entering Platform 9¾.
When you open this orange door, there's the Realworld Seongsu cafe on the 1st floor.
I went in and energetically said hello!
But the staff said I could just come in through the side door, which made me feel embarrassed.
Ta-da! This is my spot.
They set it up so I could use dual monitors with a computer and MacBook.
They also prepared a welcome kit for me.
I decorated the notebook I received with UniqueGood stickers haha.
The workspace was very spacious and comfortable.
Please take care of me for the next 3 months..!
UniqueGood Company uses various collaboration tools.
Among them are Notion and Slack!
As soon as I entered our team's Notion page, I felt so good seeing the welcoming message for me haha.
On Slack, everyone uses their own unique profiles,
and our Experience Marketing team matched them with a The Glory concept!
They made one for me too, and I loved it because Yesol was so cute.
Yes~! As the baby of the Experience Marketing team, I'll work hard to learn and grow!
Since it was my first day, I went out for lunch with all the team members.
The team leader bought us really delicious pork cutlets :)
Actually, I was very hungry from the morning, and it was sooo delicious.
Thank you once again! It was delicious~!
I also greeted both CEOs, attended a brief orientation, and signed an employment contract.
I think I spent the first day mostly setting up to work at the company!
Work
As I mentioned earlier, I joined the Experience Marketing team.
Our Experience Marketing 🐎 team works to introduce Realworld's amazing games to a wider world.
Collaboration with various institutions and organizations, planning advertising materials, conducting various online and offline events, etc.
We handle much more diverse tasks than you might think!
Among these, I'll be in charge of planning and producing YouTube video content 😃
It's something I've always wanted to try and think I could do well,
so I can't wait to start creating content!! (full of enthusiasm)
In closing
The company atmosphere is really great and the team members take good care of me,
so I seem to be adapting quickly without needing to worry!
My intern life has just begun its first chapter!
I'm both nervous and excited about the world that will unfold before me.
Especially, it's an honor to work in the Experience Marketing team that introduces Realworld's amazing games to a wider world :)
