Hello. :)
When the weekend comes, you're wondering where to go with your kids, right?
Kids cafes get old because we go there so often,
And I'm worried whether my kids can stay focused all the way through at the movies,
I want to give them a unique experience, but it's hard to find a good place.
I also had similar worries, but recently I visited Real World located on the 3rd floor of Connect Hyundai Cheongju.
My thinking completely changed about "escape rooms being difficult games for adults."
It was a family experience space where kids could enjoy themselves and parents could participate together, so I was really satisfied.
Today, I'd like to introduce "Rooms," an open-type escape room at Real World that's great to visit with your kids.
Connect Hyundai Cheongju 3rd Floor, Real World
Real World is located on the 3rd floor of Connect Hyundai Cheongju, so it's a space where you can enjoy shopping, dining, and cafes all in one place.
Most importantly, since it's located indoors, you can visit without worrying about the weather, whether it's a rainy day, hot summer, or cold winter. That was a big advantage.
It was also really satisfying as a family outing destination.
What is Real World Rooms?
Real World's Rooms operates in a slightly different way than typical escape rooms.
Instead of being trapped in a narrow room and solving problems within a limited time,
it's an open-type escape room where you roam freely around a spacious area and complete missions.
Kids explore the space as if they're on an adventure, find clues, and follow the story.
There's no feeling of being cramped, so even young children can participate comfortably,
and it was great that various themes are prepared by age group so you can choose what matches your child's level.
You can think of it as experiential content that everyone from kindergarteners to adults can enjoy together.
Recommended Themes for Kindergarteners
If you're visiting for the first time with your child, I recommend the following two themes.
🛠 Thump Thump AS Center
🌈 Catch! Tiny Ping: Rainbow in My Heart
Both themes have easy difficulty levels so young children can enjoy them plenty.
Especially:
Intuitive problem design
Fun exploring the space like treasure hunting
Easy-to-understand story
Because of these, kids got immersed quickly.
Especially for friends who like Tiny Ping, it was content they could enjoy even more.
It was also impressive that if parents just help a little from the side, children can actively play by finding clues themselves and solving problems.
Recommended Themes for Elementary School Lower Grades
If your child is in lower elementary school, you can enjoy even more challenging themes.
Hatchu Signal
Red Taste White Taste Strange Taste
These themes have easy-to-understand stories and appropriate difficulty levels so children can enjoy the fun of solving problems on their own.
The characteristics are:
Appropriate difficulty level
Easy-to-understand story
Structure where they can solve problems on their own
After finishing the game, seeing them feel proud saying "I solved it all!" made me feel really good as a parent too.
Recommended Themes for Elementary School Upper Grades
For children who want to enjoy a bit more deduction and story, I recommend this theme.
🎃 Pumpkin Head Jack
It's content that proceeds with the setting of receiving a work rules memo and starting work at a mystery hotel.
The process of finding clues and solving incidents flows naturally, and the immersion level was quite high.
Fun immersing in the story
Deduction elements added to the composition
Experience solving problems while thinking
It was a theme that upper-grade elementary school children could particularly enjoy.
Why I Recommend Real World
After experiencing it directly, it definitely had a different charm compared to typical escape rooms.
Advantages of Real World
Age-tailored content
Children can participate easily
Experience that parents and children enjoy while cooperating together
Play style that can proceed at a leisurely pace
Pleasant indoor space
Most importantly, the process itself of parents and children finding clues together and solving problems became a special memory, which was the best part.
It's not just playing, but naturally creates time to talk together and cooperate.
Looking for Places to Go in Cheongju with Kids?
I had the bias that escape rooms are difficult and only for adults,
but Real World was a space that completely changed that thinking.
Even kindergarteners can participate sufficiently,
elementary school students can solve problems more actively and feel a sense of accomplishment,
and parents can also enjoy various family-type experiential content by cooperating together.
Plus, it's located on the 3rd floor of Connect Hyundai Cheongju, so you can enjoy shopping and dining together, and it was really satisfying as a full-day course.
